Live Green
Going green is something everyone can strive for. There are a multitude of things harmful to the environment that happen. Landfills are massive amounts of land that get bulldozed over, and have trash thrown upon them, destroying the land and it's surrounding location. Hundreds of organisms loose their living space. The trash makes this space uninhabitable for anything except hungry birds and scavenging rodents, driving away all other native species.
Water pollution is one of the many threats that also threatens the world around us. This water pollution hurts and kills natural lakes and even has the potential to terminate all organisms living in that area. Polluting our water not only kills animals and plants, but also makes it harder for humans to find a clean source of water to consume. Recycling poisonous things such as batteries, and properly disposing of hazardous chemicals can greatly reduce the amount of dangerous things in our water supplies.

Recycling takes old, already used material and breaks it down into something that can be used again instead of thrown away. This cuts down on the amount of natural resources we must extract every time we need something. Metal is one of the most recycled materials around the world, and if we didn't recycle things such as iron and aluminum then we would need to continuously dig deeper and deeper into the earth to mine for more. This mining requires alot of space and energy. Dozens of factories would be built to help refine the material, putting more smog into our air This would also deplete our amount of non-renewable resources, reducing the amount of time we can produce anything involving that material. If people use what they already have, then there won't be such a large demand for new resources.
